Silver Leaf Earrings...
Shimmering Leaves
These sterling silver leaf earrings catch the light as they move around. The hammered dangle on the earring is in the shape of a leaf. They're comfortable, light and great for every day wear.
Process
The earwires and the leaves are hand-forged in sterling silver. The earwires were also hand-forged and has a small ball at the end. The silver ball was drawn on a piece of sterling silver wire before the earwire was bent into shape.
Finishing
The dangles have been hammered to give them a rustic and organic feel.
Size:
In this picture with my hand... it's easy to get a quick idea of the size of the earrings. They are just more than 1.5 inches or 38 mm from top to bottom. The shiny hammered leaves are about 0.8 inches or 21 mm in length.
Handcrafted:
One of the features (and beauty) of handmade work is that the pieces are unique. Minor variations from one piece to another are a characteristic. That's how you know it's not machine made!
