Small Silver Hoop Earrings

Small silver hoop earrings... I call these Bitty Blue Dangles.

About the Hoops and Beads

I made these hoop earrings with an interesting shape.  The tiny blue dangles hang in one place and do exactly as their name says... dangle.

The soft blue beads don't look that bitty in the picture, but they are only 6 mm or about 1/4 inch in diameter.

They are gemstone beads called blue lace. Blue lace is an agate with a hardness of seven on Mohs scale of mineral hardness.

The whole length of the earring is 1.3 inch or 33mm. The hoop is about an inch or 25 mm.

About the Wire Used

I have used 1mm or 18 gauge wire to make the hoops.

I think it is the thickest wire that you can use when the wire has to go through your ears. This may even be too thick for some people.

I used the thickest wire possible because I knew I was going to hammer the wire. The thicker wire gives a bigger and better effect.
